The Better Hearing Institute, (BHI) Issues a Warning to Do it Yourself Hearing Aid Fitting
In a timely response issued the seventeenth of October, to United Health Care's announcement earlier in the month, that they had bought their own hearing aid manufacturer and were going to begin to sell hearing aids over the internet and phone, not only to their own insureds, but to the general public at large, Dr. Sergei Kochkin of the Better Hearing Institute issued a strongly worded warning against such do it yourself hearing aid fittings that sought to eliminate a professional from the fitting process.
